What’s It All About: GPOYW
I used to think it was vanity that drove me to post a pleasant picture of myself. I used to think it narcissistic to take photos of my face or my yoga. Gradually, I’ve come to realize this is the face I show the world. I belong here and owning up to that— being present as I am— is important for me and to those with whom I care to share my experience. Brushing my hair and smiling are as much about self-respect as respect for my friends.
